The Crying Cloud” is a story designed to help autistic children develop reading comprehension and social-emotional skills through engaging narrative and relatable scenarios. The story of Diego, Isabella, and Mateo teaches important values such as empathy, support, and the power of friendship. To reinforce these lessons, we have included three role-playing games: “The Sad Friend,” where children practice empathy and offering help to a friend in distress; “Remembering Happy Moments,” which helps children recall and share positive memories to uplift a friend; and “Solving a Problem Together,” encouraging collaborative problem-solving and teamwork. These activities aim to provide children with practical tools to navigate social interactions and express their emotions effectively, mirroring real-life situations.
