This work material, titled “Be a Detective!”, invites you to explore and improve your communication and empathy skills. The content suggests understanding communication as a detective act, in which words, tone of voice, facial expressions, and gestures provide us with clues to better understand others’ thoughts and feelings. It includes examples and hypothetical situations to analyze and respond empathetically. Moreover, it proposes practical role-playing exercises to apply the learned skills in various everyday situations. At the end of the material, participants are expected to be more capable of understanding and responding to others’ emotions and needs.
